Cleaning your Cartridge
See below simple steps to follow to clean your cartridge;

-
First, determine if your filter is above or below the water level of the pool? If above, skip to the next step. If below, turn the valves to the off position, there is usually one before your pump and one after your filter or chlorinator cell housing.
-
Next, you need to turn the system off and unscrew the lid of the filter and remove the cartridge. Loosening the air release valve on the lid may make it easier to remove.
-
Place the cartridge on the ground and use a hose to rinse it out, DO NOT USE A HIGH PRESSURE HOSE this may damage the cartridge.
-
Once the water coming out of the cartridge is clear, place the cartridge back in the filter.
-
Put the lid back on, keep the air release valve slightly open, if your filter is below the water level of the pool, turn the valves back to the open position that you closed at the start.
-
Turn the pump on and monitor the air release valve till water starts to come out then close it to complete the process. (ensure the air release valve is on enough that it doesn't shoot off in the air)
-
Return the system to its usual timer settings.
